Boarding Programme

With “Students Come First” as one of the three pillars of Dulwich, we are dedicated to embedding this philosophy into every aspect of our students’ learning and daily life - including boarding.

Beyond academics, we aim to provide students with opportunities for growth, independence, warmth, and connection. We hope our boarding environment feels like a home away from home.

A Warm Home at School

Boarding students are accommodated in rooms of three. The student apartments feature modular living and study areas. Each room has its own toilet and shower. This ensures that every student enjoys a convenient, private living space.

Each floor has spacious, thoughtfully designed communal areas that offer a welcoming environment for relaxation and socialising. The apartment also has laundry facilities, including multiple high-end, fully automatic washing machines and tumble dryers to cater to each floor's daily laundry needs.

24/7 Safeguarding and Caring

The boarding area is under constant security surveillance and medical care. A dedicated residential team manages daily cleaning, maintenance and emergency response.

Our boarding parents and life supervisors for each floor oversee every aspect of the boarding experience, including daily living, boarding activities and evening study sessions. The boarding department is dedicated to safeguarding students' development and addressing any challenges they may face in their daily lives. Students receive prompt support and guidance whether they are facing academic difficulties or concerns.

Boarding parents and life supervisors regularly communicate with students to understand their psychological well-being and needs, helping them to adapt to boarding life. Furthermore, the boarding department organises activities to encourage interaction and friendship among students, thereby fostering a warm and harmonious community. Thanks to this attentive care, students experience the warmth of home while developing independence and a sense of responsibility.

07:00 – 08:00 Wash up and breakfast

08:00 – 17:00   Daytime classes

17:00 – 18:00 Dinner

18:00 – 20:00 Evening study supervised by teachers

20:00 – 21:00 Physical exercise (Professional coaching on Tue & Thu)

21:00 – 22:30  Shower time

22:30  Bedtime
