Candice Van Buul
Head of Art
Ms Van Buul joined Dulwich International High School Zhuhai as an Art teacher in August 2021. She has over 10 years’ experience in teaching, and middle management positions in international schools in the Middle East and China.
Before joining the Dulwich Zhuhai family of schools, she was a part of a successful K-12 international school start-up in Jiangsu province. As well as being responsible for the set-up, implementation and delivery of the K-12 Art specialism, she also held the role of Pastoral coordinator. Prior to this she taught Art and Design at Dulwich High School, Suzhou.
Candice holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, majoring in drawing, painting and sculpture, from the Vaal University of Technology, and a PGCE and Masters Degree in Education from Buckingham University in the UK. A great interest for her is helping Bilingual students excel in an international curriculum, while fostering a love of the Arts. With her rich experience in educating second language students, passion of the Arts and start-up school experience in China, Candice is excited with the challenge of preparing Art students to apply to excellent Art courses at University once they have completed their IGCSE and A level portfolios in our fantastic new studios.
