Leanne Ireland
Teacher of English
Ms Ireland joined the Dulwich network in 2018. She is the Head of Year 12 and a teacher of English.
She is an Australian from Melbourne, and moved to New Zealand in her late teens to attend University and begin a lifelong love of travel. She gained her teaching qualifications and undergraduate degree from Waikato University in New Zealand, where she first began her teaching career. Teaching in a large multicultural state school helped her gain valuable experience in pastoral care and classroom management as well as the importance of every child as in individual learner.
Ms Ireland arrived in China in 2016 and has been teaching International Curriculum to Chinese students since then, most recently at Dulwich International High School Suzhou. Since arriving in China she has been Head of Department, led various courses and continued to upskill her curriculum knowledge through Cambridge.
Ms Ireland is a passionate lover of Shakespeare, both as a text and in performance, and has been in many productions of His various plays.
