2018-19 Prize Giving and Graduation Ceremony
On 13th June, Dulwich International High School Zhuhai held the 2018-2019 Prize Giving and Graduation Ceremony and invited all the parents and staff to attend the ceremony and celebrate with our graduating classes.
The hosts for this year were Dr Matthew Sumner and Miss Luna Jiang. The ceremony began after a welcome speech given by DHZH Director, Mr Andrew Macdonald-Brown.
Highlights of the Prize Giving Ceremony
Five genres of awards —— Tutor Group Awards, Outstanding Progress Awards, Top Subject Awards; Top Year Students and Outstanding Awards are presented to students with excellent performance in the academic year 2018-2019. The most valuable award, “Top Year Student” winners were:
Year 10: Daisy W
Year 11: Hyacinthus Z
Year 12: Jeffrey N
Year 13: Frank J
Announcement of the Head Students for 2019-2020
The ceremony witnessed the announcement of the new DHZH Head Boy and Head Girl for 2019-2020 when the Current DHZH Head Boy Colin J and Head Girl Corrina W handed over representative badges to their successors Bruce Z and Winifred Z. Bruce and Winifred will carry on the tradition of student council and take over the responsibilities of being representatives for all the students in academic year 2019-2020.
The Parents' Prize Giving
Apart from the students, there were 58 outstanding parents being recognized for their active involvement in the events held by Friends of Dulwich and supporting the students’ charity activities and student CCAs.
Ms Liu Anghua, the Chairperson of the Friends of Dulwich also gave a speech and presented a statue of a Traditional Brass Cauldron as a gift on behalf of the DHZH Graduates and Year 13 parents. This gift symbolizes their thanks and best wishes to DHZH.
The Graduation Ceremony
The last session of the evening was the Graduation Ceremony. This year, Mr John Todd, the Regional Director of Dulwich College International China gave a speech for the Graduates to express his encouragement and wishes.
After accepting the graduation certificates and gifts from the Director Mr Andrew Macdonald-Brown and Deputy Direct Ms Carol Han, the Year 13 students officially graduated from DHZH and are ready to move on to their future study abroad. DHZH is proud of all the Graduates and we wish them great success in their university study and life.
