Pre-A Level Programme at Dulwich Hengqin International High School
Students at Dulwich Hengqin follow a similar academic curriculum to students in the UK. This does not mean that they can only attend UK universities - pre-A-Levels and A Levels are accepted by all of the world’s leading universities - but it does mean that they are accessing a curriculum that has a proven track record in producing high-quality graduates.
At the heart of the curriculum is a focus on developing critical thinking skills and creativity. Furthermore, whilst written exams have a role to play, pre-A Level also involves assessment through other means, such as science practical examination or composition work in music. The nature of our curricula and lessons means that, unlike many Chinese high school students, Dulwich students are ideally prepared for life at international universities.
With a few exceptions, our pre-A Level exams are approved by the Cambridge International Examination Board. This institution is a world leader in the field of UK and International education. So far, our school has been accredited and authorised by three assessment centres in the UK, including CAIE, Edexcel and AQA.
Chinese mainland students will study Chinese National Curriculum (CNC) subjects, and sit Guangdong High School Proficiency Exams (广东省普通高中学业水平合格性考试).
